those who marshalled, those who sponsored and of course the organisers!
DCC Meetings this week.
St Thomas Monday 14th
7pm in church
St Agnes Wednesday 16th
8pm in school hall
PCC members should attend, and EVERYONE else is welcome – come and talk
about YOUR church!
Exploring Prayer sessions begin on Thursday
17th 7.30pm St Agnes. This is the first of 5 sessions
lasting around an hour. This is not ‘heavy’ but should be interesting and
enjoyable. More details in the magazine or from Edith. Come along and try it!
Rose Queen event Bingo night at Springhead Football Club Friday 18th 7.30pm.
Tea and Toast Saturday 19th 10.30 till noon. All welcome, come along and
enjoy refreshments and a chat! There is a raffle too.
Next
Sunday the service at St Thomas will
be all age and will include Sunday
School prizegiving. Two children
will also be baptized during the service.
Harvest Lunch will take place on in
Lees Library on October 4th after the service at St Thomas. Tickets
£5 adults, £2.50 children. You MUST have a ticket before this date if you want
to attend.
Please
would anyone who has ‘stuff’ in the cupboards (or even not in the cupboards!)
at the back of St Thomas Church please have a good sort through and clear out as soon as possible – and definitely by
the end of October half term. We need to have the space cleared to enable the
preparatory work for the development project to go ahead.
