Newsletter – 17th February 2019
This week is half-term, so there won’t be a newsletter next weekend – enjoy the holidays!
Friday the 1st March is the World Day of Prayer. The World Day of Prayer worship service has a special annual theme which is developed by women from a different country each year.
The Churches Together in Lees and District service will be at 1 pm at St John’s Church, Hey.
Everyone is invited to come along and join with fellow Christians from our locality in Prayer.
The Ladies of Leesfield Coffee Morning on Saturday 2nd March will be in St Thomas’ Community Room from 10.30 am to 12 noon. All are welcome to come and have coffee and a chat with the ladies – they would love to meet you!
Ash Wednesday is on the 6th March, and our service is 7.30 pm at St Thomas’ Church. Light refreshments will be available in the Community Room after the service, provided by the Ladies of Leesfield.
If you haven’t yet got your tickets for the Annual White Hart Dinner Dance on Friday 8th March, please contact Jacqueline or any of the retinue mums at St Agnes’. Tickets cost £35 each for a fantastic evening with a 5 course meal, entertainment by Smudge, and dancing until late.
Our parish-wide campaign “Play Your Part”, will be launched on Sunday the 10th March. Everybody who attends our churches and Sunday Schools will receive an information pack about how we can all help to grow and sustain our churches.
Please do watch out for your pack, and complete and return the response forms.
