Leesfield Parish July 4th 2015

Confirmation rehearsal is on Wednesday July 8^th at 7pm. It is very important that all involved attend the rehearsal, which is likely to take about 45mins.

The parish Confirmation service will take place next Sunday July 12^th at 11am.

This is a very important service for the whole parish – for those being confirmed, for those of us who are confirmed members of the church as we renew our baptism promises and support our newest members, and for those who may still be considering confirmation in the future. So please do your best to attend.

Bishop Mark will lead the service as usual.

There will be no service at St Agnes that day. Please keep in your thoughts and prayers the 8 children and 2 adults who will be confirmed on that day.

Deanery Synod meets Wednesday 8^th July 7.30pm at St John’s Hey

Parish Trip to York Saturday 18th July.   9am from the junction of

Spring Lane / West Street, Lees.   4.30p.m. Return from York.

Cost £13.  Please can you pay Audrey or Roy as soon as possible.

Bonus Ball  There are six numbers free for this. You pay £1 a week, and if your number is drawn as the lottery bonus ball you win £25. This raises a small but steady income for church, and works best if all numbers are taken. Peter Brooks (at St Thomas) runs this. Please ask if you would like to take on one of the numbers.

Lees Village Fair will take place Sunday July 19^th 12noon to 4pm at Springhead Football club on St John’s Rd. Half the proceeds will be given to church. Still needed- donations for raffle and tombola, and unwanted (!) teddy bears. (To Emma please)

There will be no pewsheets during the school holidays, so please make sure that any dates you want on the list are there, and also make sure you have the list of dates!
