After today’s service at
St Thomas, there will be a meeting of the
PCC to approve the accounts. Please would as many members as possible
attend this meeting.
Next Saturday, 18th
April, Tea and Toast in St Thomas
10.30till noon. Come along, bring a friend, for a drink, toast and a natter. £2
plus £1 for raffle.
Also today we are clearing
out under the tower at St Thomas, prior to the development work. We need people
who know what needs to be saved and what we can throw………..
Next Sunday, 19th
April, there will be a Parish Service
at St Thomas 11am. This will be followed by the Annual Parish Meeting. At this, wardens and PCC reps will be
elected and we hear reports on the last year in the parish. Please stay for
this meeting.
There are forms at the
back of church for you to nominate wardens and PCC members for the next year.
Christian Aid week is May 10th to 17th.
More collectors are needed from both churches –please see Liz Dent or the
wardens if you can help.
Leave space in your diary
for the Parish Social -to be held on
Saturday, 2nd May at St. Edward's function room.
Adult Confirmation sessions will begin May 6th.
Please think hard whether this is right for you this year. Discuss with Edith
or Ruth. We will be asking for names of both adult and child candidates after
Easter.
Children’s confirmation classes will start soon- if you are
between 11 and 13, have attended church regularly for the last 12 months, and
wish to be confirmed please ask Edith for a form and information sheet.
