Leesfield Parish   May 14^th   2017

This week is Christian Aid Week. As usual we will be collecting house-to-house on selected streets around Lees. If you are able to help with collections please contact Liz Dent by email at lizzy.dent@googlemail.com or see Liz after church on Sunday 14th

Big Brekkie in support of Christian Aid on Thursday 18^th May at 9am – 11am. Tickets available now  Adults £5 children £2.50. Volunteer helpers needed to help make this a fun morning and raise money for this excellent cause. Please let Edith know if you can help in any way. It would help if you bought a ticket so we have an idea of how many people will want food!

Confirmation classes this week -  for children Wednesday after school at St Thomas Church.

For adults Wednesday 7pm at St Thomas’.

Bible study group begins Monday May 15^th  at 1.30pm in St Thomas Community room. All welcome –if you are around do come and support this new venture. It will end with a cuppa and a chat and in time for school pick-up! Bring a Bible if you have one handy!

Next Saturday (20^th) Tea and Toast at St Thomas   10.30 till noon. Come along for a brew and a chat. All welcome.

Also on Saturday is Rose Queen crowning at St Agnes Service 2pm followed by refreshments and stalls in the hall. Do come along and support our new Rose Queen Emilia

There are still a few copies of our magazine available. Do get one if you haven’t had your copy yet. It is good value at only 80p! Have you written anything for the next issue yet? Doesn’t have to be long, or very literate, just share your ideas thoughts, experiences etc. Items for next magazine to paulmdent@gmail.com Deadline today (14^th)

St Thomas church is open regularly on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, so people can drop in, look around, pray or just sit. For this to happen, we need volunteers to sit in church (Could be in the back room !) Can you help with this? Can you spare an hour now and again? See Edith or sign the list please.

Big Brekkie in the Community Room at St. Thomas' Church from 9 to 11 am on Thursday 18th May

We will be having bacon butties, beans on toast, toast & jam, tea, coffee and juice.

Tickets are priced at £5 each, £2 children and are on sale now. All proceeds to Christian Aid.

Please do join us for a lovely meal and a chat, and raise money as well!

Crowning of Rose Queen Emilia Grace

Saturday 20th May 2 pm at St Agnes'

St Agnes Rose Queen Elect, Emilia Grace would like to invite people to her Crowning on Saturday 20th May at 2pm.

Tickets are available from the retinue mums Sue Gittins, Caroline Rebecca, Nicola Holcroft and Cassie Mills and myself Colette Harris-Jones.

Tickets are £2.50 with entry into a grand prize for £50 in cash. We also have some other fantastic raffle prizes available on the day including Afternoon tea for two at Slattery's.
