Rev David Halford - Interim Ministry

Having been in interregnum for nearly 2 years, the vacancy for our parish priest is being advertised again nationally in September.

The Diocese are aware of how difficult a long term interregnum can be and so both Archdeacon Cherry Vann & Bishop Mark have been looking at ways they can help us in the meantime.

As a result of this, Revd David Halford has agreed to offer an interim ministry in Leesfield from the beginning of September. David is an OLM, like Ruth, at St Anne’s Royton. He is a former Head Teacher and continues to work as an Ofsted inspector. Because of his work commitments, he will not be able to commit to anything regularly during the week, but will be with us most Sundays in the parish. David will be working closely with Ruth and both Roy & Neil, to help wherever he can and we look forward to David presiding and preaching at our services and joining us at our meetings and social events.
.
David will be a huge blessing to the parish as we continue to wait for the right person to come along to be our parish priest. We welcome him and hope he will feel at home in our Parish whilst he is with us.
