Today we celebrate “All Saints” in our morning services at both churches, and this afternoon at 4 pm we have a special service at St Thomas’ for “All Souls”, where we remember all of our loved ones whom we see no more.
The Posada figures are now ready to begin their Advent journey, so please add your details to the list if you would like to welcome Mary and Joseph into your homes.
Deanery Synod meets at Holy Trinity Shaw, 7.30 pm on Monday 4th November, and our own Parish meetings start on Monday 11th November with Standing committee in the vicarage at 7 pm.
On Saturday 16th November Roy and Audrey are organising a Parish Day Trip to York. There is a list at the back of church for you to add your name if you would like to come.
This week's “Worship for all Generations” service at 6.30 pm on Thursday at St Thomas’ will focus on Remembrance. People of all ages are most welcome to worship with us in these family-friendly services.
Next Sunday, the 10th November, is Remembrance Sunday. There will be no service at St Agnes’, but at 9.15 am we have a Parish Eucharist at St Thomas’. We then assemble at Lees Library to walk down to Lees Cemetery with the Royal British Legion, other churches and uniformed organisations for the annual Act of Remembrance.
