The next series of Exploring Prayer sessions will begin
tomorrow, Monday February 6th, at 7pm in St Thomas Community room. We
explore more imaginative ways of praying using music, pictures, meditation,
scripture and more. Whether you have joined us before or not all are welcome!
Many of you (especially at
St Thomas) will remember Audrey Barker.
She was a very active member of church, and has sadly died. Her funeral will be
in on Friday February 10th at 12 noon in St Thomas church. If anyone
has particular memories of Audrey, and would like them to be included in the eulogy please do let Edith know today.
The first edition of our
new magazine is selling out fast! The
cost is 80p, but as the magazine will be issued every 2 months the annual cost
is the same –for a much improved product! Why not pay annually (£5)? Please
remember the content depends on YOU contributing. If you have something for the
magazine get it off to Paul straight away- don’t wait for the deadline date!
There are
still some tickets available for the Rose
Queen Dinner Dance at the White Hart on Friday March 10th.

A gentle
reminder – our Tuesday morning Communion
service is held every week at 10am. At St Thomas’. Currently we are in the
community room (warm!) and we have a cuppa and a chat afterwards. If you are
available and haven’t yet joined us do come along.
If you want
to hold a social gathering or meeting do consider hiring our community room. It holds up to 30
easily, 40 with a bit of a squash, is warm and there is a kitchen and toilet.
The cost is reasonable and we have links with a caterer if you are interested
in that too. Audrey is in charge of bookings for the room.
