Today
we welcome Peter Haslam (Pete) who
is joining us until the end of April. Pete is a trainee Reader on placement
with us from St Barnabas.
Building Committee meets Monday (20th) 7.30pm at St Thomas’
Exploring Prayer session tomorrow, Tuesday (21st ) at 7pm
in St Thomas Community room. We explore more imaginative ways of praying using
music, pictures, meditation, scripture and more. Whether you have joined us
before or not all are welcome!
Advance notice.. several
people have expressed interest in doing the intercessions in our church services. It is very good to have many
different people doing this, including our year 6 young people. To help and
encourage I plan to lead a session on this at St Agnes Church on February 28th
at 7pm. This will last no more than an hour. Attending does not commit you to
leading the intercessions!
Churches Together are
holding our now traditional Lent
lunchtime sessions again this year. The theme is the Passion in Art.
Tuesdays in Lent, 12 noon start at Zion Methodist Church.
March 7th will be
the first session. The art/discussion is followed by a simple soup and roll
lunch. All are welcome! Poster and invitations att the back of church.
Is there anyone willing to
take over putting together the newsletters?
It isn’t a big job, just using information given to update the newsletter and
dates each week and e mail them round. Karen prints a few copies once a month
for each church. If you might be interested please talk to Edith.
There are
still some tickets available for the Rose
Queen Dinner Dance at the White Hart on Friday March 10th.

A gentle
reminder – our Tuesday morning Communion
service is held every week at 10am. At St Thomas’. Currently we are in the
community room (warm!) and we have a cuppa and a chat afterwards. If you are
available and haven’t yet joined us do come along.
