Today we welcome back to St Thomas Audrey and Ronald Vickers, who were
married here 50 years ago. They are visiting today, with
their family, from Blackpool where they now live.
PCC meets Monday (13th) at St Thomas at 7pm. Please
will all members do their best to attend – and read the paperwork beforehand so
the meeting can be effective. There will be an opportunity to buy a copy of the
new guide to St Thomas’s church ahead of next Saturday’s official launch!
Tuesday 14th
Lent Lunchtime session , 12
noon start at Zion Methodist Church.
The art/discussion is
followed by a simple soup and roll lunch. All are welcome! Poster and
invitations at the back of church Next week’s session will be at Springhead
Congregational
Wednesday 15th
Open meeting of Churches Together at
7.30 in St Thomas’. Do come along and help make this a real get together of
Christians in this area.
Saturday 18th Tea and Toast at St Thomas’ 10.30am.
This will also be the first opportunity to buy a copy of Liz Dent’s latest
publication –a Guide to St Thomas’
Church (£2.50) This is a very interesting guide to what is in the church.
Come along, have a cuppa, buy the booklet and use it to explore our beautiful
and historic church.
Confirmation. Now is a good time for adults who have not been
confirmed and children in Year 6 or above to think about Confirmation. Classes
will begin soon after Easter in preparation for the Confirmation service on
Sunday July 9th. More details later, but if you are interested
please give your name to Edith.
Now we are in Lent there
are no flowers in church. Looking
forward donations towards the flowers for Easter at St Thomas would be
gratefully received by Audrey or Lesley. At St Agnes would people please
volunteer to provide flowers by adding their names to the list.
