Leesfield Parish April 19th 2015

Today’s Parish service is followed by the Annual Parish Meeting

Thursday 23^rd  Ladies of Leesfield meet in St Thomas Church at 7.30pm. Speaker is Mr Mike Russell of the Lyceum theatre Group. Everyone is welcome

The Easter stall raised £150 and the Easter raffle raised over £90. Well done and thank you to all involved!

Christian Aid week is May 10^th to 17^th. More collectors are needed from both churches –please see Liz Dent or the wardens if you can help.

A 'Parish Social' has been arranged for Saturday, 2nd May, 2015 - 7pm at St. Eddie's Function Room, Spring Lane, Lees. This is a 'Bring & Share' event and notices are being displayed at St. Thomas and St. Agnes from today.  Please enter your contact details and also what you wish to bring along.  We are also asking for donations of 'Spot Prizes'(for children) and Raffle Prizes. Please contact Audrey, Emma,Jenny or Liz Bentley if you are able to donate and also to purchase tickets which cost £3.50 per Adult and £1.50 per child, they are on sale from today

Adult Confirmation sessions will begin May 6^th in St Agnes Church at 7.00pm. If you are interested come along- no commitment!

Children’s confirmation classes will also start May 6^th –after school in St Thomas Church. If you are in year 6 or 7, have attended church regularly for the last 12 months, and wish to be confirmed please ask Edith for a form and information sheet.

Leesfield Parish April 12th 2015

After today’s service at St Thomas, there will be a meeting of the PCC to approve the accounts. Please would as many members as possible attend this meeting.

Next Saturday, 18^th April, Tea and Toast in St Thomas 10.30till noon. Come along, bring a friend, for a drink, toast and a natter. £2 plus £1 for raffle.

Also today we are clearing out under the tower at St Thomas, prior to the development work. We need people who know what needs to be saved and what we can throw………..

Next Sunday, 19^th April, there will be a Parish Service at St Thomas 11am. This will be followed by the Annual Parish Meeting. At this, wardens and PCC reps will be elected and we hear reports on the last year in the parish. Please stay for this meeting.

There are forms at the back of church for you to nominate wardens and PCC members for the next year.
