Leesfield Parish August 28th 2016

A reminder for Standing Committee – we meet next Monday (September 5th) in the Vicarage at 7.00pm

Harvest Sunday is October 2nd. There will be a Parish Service at St Thomas 11am. No service at St Agnes that day. This will be followed by Harvest Lunch in church. This is a ticket only event (because we need to know numbers in advance for catering). Adults £5 Children up to 11 years £2.50

I announced last week that Bonus Ball will finish this month. It has been struggling since the number of balls used in the Lotto draw was increased to 59. Since then a couple of people have said they would like it to continue  - if so we need to revamp it somehow! It has been a useful money raiser as well as a bit of fun, so we could do with either updating it or finding a replacement that is easy to administer– any ideas/offers? And can we have a final decision please!

Don’t forget Tuesday morning Holy Communion service at St Thomas at 10am. This is a short (30mins) service without hymns. It would be good to involve more people. If you are around at that time why not drop in and give it a try? And stay for a cuppa afterwards too !

Community Room  Anyone wishing to book the community room at St Thomas should contact Audrey Atkinson (652 2987) She is in charge of bookings so we don’t double book.

Supplementary forms – I am already getting enquiries about Bluecoat or Crompton House forms that need signing. I will discuss each one with the warden and Sunday School leader (who have the attendance records) in meetings at the beginning of October. If you have one of these to be signed please let me have it by Sunday October 2nd, and it will be signed and returned to you well before the submission date.
