Tuesday March 1st Lent lunch Zion Methodist Church 12 noon. All welcome!

Friday March 4th Women’s World Day of Prayer Service at Zion Methodist Church 2pm

Saturday March 5th  Coffee at the home of J Daubney  27 The Sycamores 10.30 to noon.
Afterwards in church preparing flowers for Mothering Sunday

The parish Electoral Roll needs to be updated in preparation for our Annual Church Meeting in April. If you live in the parish or attend our churches regularly and are 16 or over you are entitled to be on our electoral roll. Please check whether you are on the roll, and if not please fill in a form. Copies of the Electoral Roll and forms are available at the back of both churches.

Our Annual Parish Meeting is drawing closer. Now is a good time to think about membership of the PCC, sidespeople etc. In particular St Agnes Church needs a Warden – Philip Hibbert kindly agreed, last  year, to serve for a year (which has been really useful) but now a new warden really MUST be found.

If you are responsible for compiling a report for our APCM booklet please get this to Paul as soon as you can, and certainly by March 12th.

Our Parish website is being completely refreshed and updated by Judith. There are lots of things on there, including our weekly newsletters, excerpts from the monthly Parish magazine, the full Parish calendar and much more. Please have a look at it, it's free! You can add your e-mail address to receive an e-mail whenever it's updated to make sure you don't miss anything. The web address is leesfieldparish.blogspot.co.uk

Lent Lunches

Churches together are again holding lunchtime sessions on the Tuesdays in Lent. Each session will have reflection and discussion based on a DVD, followed by soup and a roll.

Films will include the King’s Speech, Les   Miserables and Chocolat and two others.

Sessions begin at 12 noon and will be held at Zion Methodist Church. If you can get to any or all of these, it would be good to see you there.

Tuesday 16th at 12 noon  - first Lent Lunch session at Zion Methodist Church.
These sessions are organized by Churches Together, and each one will be led by a different minister. Each session is stand alone, come to as many as you can. We begin at noon with reflections on excerpts from some well-known films, and this is followed by a soup and roll lunch. All welcome!

Today is your last chance to pick up a bargain at the stall being run at the back of church by Harvest Queen Amy and her retinue.

Next Sunday the Ladies of Leesfield will run their stall for Easter. Donations of Easter-type goods will be gratefully received.

Donations too, please, for the raffle being held at the White Hart event (to Laura Lees please)

Tuesday 10am service each week at St Thomas. This is a short service without hymns. Numbers at this are dwindling –why not come along at least during Lent if you are around in the daytime?

Our Annual Parish Meeting is drawing closer. Now is a good time to think about membership of the PCC. In particular St Agnes Church needs a Warden – Philip Hibbert kindly agreed, last  year, to serve for a year (which has been really useful) but now a new warden really MUST be found.

Please think carefully about whether you could give to church by standing order. This is a simpler way to give than remembering to bring collection, and it gives church a clearer idea of what funds we have available. Failing that, could you take planned giving envelopes? If you are a tax payer, would you be willing to gift aid your donations- so the church gets money back from the tax man? Please ask Liz Dent or Edith for forms, or the wardens for planned giving envelopes.
